Who doesn’t like a chubby baby?
There is something that a roly-poly belly and things are always adorable by
everyone. No one worries about baby fat as we think that it is not only cute,
but, healthy too. Unfortunately, it is not at all healthy, which is why most
parents need to take care of. However, there are certain simple things that
parents must follow in order to keep their baby healthy and set them on the
best pathway to stay the same forever.
- Breastfeed: Breastfeed is the best idea to keep babies healthy and strong. The milk contains major nutrition that are required for the healthy growth. However, most mothers intentionally don’t feed their baby, while, others cannot do it very long. This food doesn’t allow baby to overfeed. Even if they stay for 10 to 15 mins, they are sucking just for comfort and not getting milk.
- Every cry doesn’t mean that they are hungry: Babies mostly cry for various reasons. Sometimes for hunger, sleep, scared, tired, aches, bored or uncomfortable. If they cry within a short time of their feed, parents must try with other options like changing their diaper, try to make them sleep, or talking and playing. If every time, babies are allowed to feed for every cry, they become used to and think of getting fed when they are tired, scared, bored etc.
- Never overfeed: Being a parent most of us always want the bowl or bottle to get finished. But, if he/she gives signal of not willing to eat more, it’s our responsibility to respect the cues.
- Give healthy solid food: When your baby is prepared to consume solid foods, introduce, legumes, fish, lean meat, fruits and vegetables in their diet. Make ultimate usage of this period before your baby becomes choosy and develops his taste buds.
- Get your baby moving: Exercise is not only healthy for us, but, also for babies. Get your baby on the floor, get play time and encourage them to stay active.
